On November 22, the College of Physics and Electronics held the "Thinking and Cognition" Wukesong Lecture in Classroom 303 of the lecture hall complex. The lecture was delivered by Professor Xu Boqiang, who is the Chairman of the College's Professor Committee and the Executive Deputy Director of the College's Committee for Concerning the Next Generation (CCNG). The event was hosted by Pan Jinbiao, the Party Secretary of the College and the Director of the CCNG.

Professor Xu Boqiang, drawing on his reflections on philosophy and logic, as well as his extensive experience in teaching, research, and student mentoring, delivered a lecture covering four main areas: personal growth, education and learning, thinking patterns, and reflections on life. He presented complex and abstruse issues in the philosophy of physics in a vivid and accessible manner. He also offered three pieces of advice to the students for their academic and personal lives: first, to stay grounded and learn to accumulate knowledge, realizing their life's value through hard work and reflection; second, to learn how to read and gain wisdom, understanding the essence of learning through both theory and practice; and third, to identify problems and think deeply, exercising their thinking patterns through understanding and reconstruction.

This lecture emphasized the importance of learning and thinking, inspiring the students to engage in deeper reflection on these topics. It helped foster the habit of diligent and profound thinking and the ability to summarize experiences, laying a solid theoretical foundation for their future studies and lives.
